Terms of Service & Privacy Notice
1. This is beta software
flowroutine is offered as an early beta. It is under active development: features may change, break, or be removed, and the Service may be slow, interrupted, or discontinued at any time without notice. It has not been through the testing or hardening you should expect of a finished product.
2. Who may use flowroutine — age requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Service. flowroutine is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for or collect personal information from them. At signup you must confirm you meet this age. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 13, we will disable it and delete the associated data.
If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian.
Planned — younger students with parental/school consent. We intend to support younger students (including in school settings) in a future version, but only under verified parent, guardian, or school consent and the additional protections that U.S. COPPA and FERPA require for that population. That program is not available yet; until it launches, the 13+ requirement above applies to everyone.
3. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. flowroutine classifies what you type using automated rules and AI; those classifications can be wrong, and you are responsible for reviewing what it files.
4. Not professional advice, and not your system of record
flowroutine is a personal-organization aid. It is not a substitute for your own judgment or for professional, legal, financial, medical, or tax advice. Do not rely on it alone for anything important — a missed or misfiled commitment is your responsibility, not ours. Keep your own records of anything you cannot afford to lose.
5. Data durability — back up what matters
Because this is beta, we do not guarantee that your data will be preserved. Entries may be lost, reset, or deleted as we develop the Service. Export or separately record anything important to you.
6. What you enter, and AI processing
The text you type into the inbox (“entries”) is stored in your account and processed to classify and organize it. Some classification is done by a deterministic, on-server rule engine; when the rules are uncertain, your entry text is sent to Google Vertex AI (Gemini) to be categorized. That processing runs under a configuration that disables use of your data to train models. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it except as needed to operate the Service (e.g. our cloud and AI providers) or as required by law.
7. Information we store
We store your name, email, and password (hashed); the entries, people, and items you create; and audit logs of how each entry was classified (method, confidence, timing) to operate and improve the Service. Data is hosted on Google Cloud in the United States. We use a cookie solely to keep you signed in. We email you only for account purposes (verification, account notices).
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your account (hashed passwords, encrypted transport, access controls). No online service is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Acceptable use
Use the Service lawfully and for your own personal organization. Do not attempt to disrupt, attack, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts, and do not use it to store or transmit unlawful content.
10. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or end your access, or the beta itself, at any time — including for misuse. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or missed obligations arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service (which, during the free beta, is $0) in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date; continued use after a change means you accept it.
